One Year Ago Today...
...the most wonderful thing happened. Poppy Jane and Olive Rose were born! As I look through the pictures from the past year, I still cannot believe how much they have grown, changed, and developed their own personalities and quirks. Jill and I could not have survived without the love and support of our family and friends. Thank you so very much! Enjoy!

Learning Sense of Size
Both Olive and Poppy will climb into any basket, box, container, etc., they can get their hands on... even if said receptacle is much too small.
This box is 2 in. by 4 in. and about an inch deep. Plenty of room for a baby!
Poppy tries to fit into a dog bowl. Then, Olive tries to show her up.
When Kids Get Giddy Before Bed
Olive learns that she can drag the horse.
Horse dragging ends in a kiss fight... Olive is the winner.

More on Father's Day
Father's Day was wonderful! We spent the day at Grandmom Rosalie and Pop-pop Joe's house. Aunt Maria made a delicious brunch including two different French toast casseroles and zucchini bread. Thank you so much, Maria, for filling our bellies! Sadly, I did not get too many good pictures. But, enjoy the ones I posted!
"You want to sit in this chair?"
"Why don't you have this cup instead?"

What Father's Day is All About
More photos and details of the day's events to follow. (I forgot the camera, so I'm waiting to receive pictures from my mom.)

Mish-Mosh
"You're next, plastic drum!"
Huggies Jeans: "I poo in blue."
Olive found a nice spot to relax, until...
Olive did this by accident...
What a look.
When the Kids are Away...
What do adults do when the kids are away? Act like children, of course!
OK, so that's not me and Jill in the playhouse. It's our friends Nina and John having an Alice in Wonderland moment. Before the kids were shipped off in Tea Party and Such, we allowed them to have some adult fun.
They learned how to properly treat a chihuahua (Dana's long-haired Lily)...
They learned crude jokes, such as "pull my finger..."
But most importantly (this is sappy), they learned the value of friendship...
John and I have been friends since 6th grade, and he was my best man 5 years ago.
What a good looking group of people going out to dinner! Oh, wait. That's us!
Matt and Vanessa: to be married in less than 6 months!
Brian and John: friends as long as they can remember... and they're 30!
All in all, it was a wonderful night full of food and drink, all planned by my better half. Thanks, honey! In 10 years when I turn 40, I expect an equally entertaining evening! Just kidding. Or, am I?
Tea Party and Such
Last weekend, while I was out having a belated birthday celebration with my awesome wife and awesome friends, Poppy and Olive played at their Mom-mom's house.
