Valentine's Day

Let me catch you up... We are home from Florida after a wonderful trip. (More pictures to come.) Well, the last few weeks were tough since Poppy, Mom-mom, and I were sick. Olive lucked out and didn't get sick. Poppy's still coughing, and I have bronchitis. Jill is now sick (She flew down for the last few days of the trip.).

Enough complaining for now. Yesterday, we made mommy Queens of Hearts for Valentine's Day. Poppy was very proud of hers, but Olive didn't want her picture taken. The lighting was horrible, and all I had was my cell phone. However, you can still see the expressions on their faces! Olive has blue paint on her forehead.  Maybe that's why she was embarrassed!

First Haircut

On January 13, the kids got their first haircuts! I really did not want for their hair to be cut, but each had crazy, uneven hair. Poppy's was especially unruly. I have to say that I am much happier with their hair than I thought I would be.

Before...

Poppy had a hard time getting into the swing of things.

Olive did very well... she just looked like she was in shock the whole time.

Visits

Since the girls' Great-gramma Stell lives in Florida, it is always an opportune time for her to see the kids. Poppy and Olive are such a joy to her! They love when she reads to them and tickles them. Aunt Sandy was visiting Gramma Stell, so she got to enjoy the kids as well.

As always, it's nearly impossible to get both kids in a picture.

Pictures and Videos from Christmas

This Christmas was very different from last year. Olive and Poppy actually understood that they were getting presents "from Santa." A month before Christmas, we introduced their Elf on the Shelf, Crunchy (they named him). So, they anticipated Christmas for a while, and finally Santa came! I cannot express the joy that I felt watching their excitement as they opened presents. There is no comparison in the world.  Poppy and Olive even like to look at these pictures and videos from Christmas day. I hope you enjoy them, too!
