Don't Get Nervous

Wow!  It's been a long while since I've posted (it's Jill, by the way).  Joe has done an amazing job with updating the blog regularly and posting a million pictures of and stories about Olive and Poppy.  He's done such a great job, in fact, that our readers sometimes forget that the man behind this whole operation is really Joe.

That being said, I don't think it's fair to maintain the blog with its current design - you know - orange and pink and, well, let's be honest, girly.

Over the next few days/weeks/months (I'm a slacker -- please keep that in mind), I'm going to be working on redesigning the blog so that it's not so feminine.  We might even change the name (this is where the "don't get nervous" part comes in).  If we do, don't worry - the web address will not change.  You'll still have access to all of the old posts.  The worst thing that might happen is that you'll have to add a new feed to Google Reader (if you read the blog that way, and if you don't just ignore that last sentence.  For you, nothing will change.  Stop crying.  You will not have to learn anything new on the computer or the internet to continue reading our blog.  Don't worry.  You can even continue to call it "the blogspot" if that makes you happy.  Everything will be OK.).

So, changes are on the way.  We'd love to hear if you have any suggestions for us.  Is there anything on the blog that you don't like?  Is there something you'd like to see?  Is there anything that you'd miss if it disappeared?  Let us know.  Although this blog is about the girls (and updated by Joe), the blog is for YOU - the people who read it (or just look at the pictures and ignore the writing - but if you're one of those, you're probably not reading this).

Thanks to everyone who reads (or just looks at) our blog.  We love sharing our little lovelies with you and we hope that you'll continue reading (or looking), despite the changes that are coming.

I like the blog the way it is--the girls are girly, and their room is pink and orange, so I think it fits perfectly. Why change? Even though Joe is the blogger, it is for and about the girls. Just my opinion.

i agree with diane - i love the blog the way it is and never thought of it as being too girly. while joe is the actual blogger, the blog is about the girls so i think it makes sense. that said, as long as the videos, pictures and updates keep coming, i dont so much mind what the background looks like!
joe - you're doing an AMAZING job with everything - i read the blog at least 3 times a week and love being able to keep up with your family's day-to-day, so thank you. spending all day with two babies AND updating the blog as often as you do - i really dont know how you do it all, super-dad!
anyway -i hope everyone is doing well and that i get down to see you and your 3 lovely ladies soon.

I completely agree with Diane, John and Nicki. I LOVE the blog and it's colors. I look forward to checking for updates, pics and videos all the time. Nicki's right, being so far away the blog makes us seem closer and more "in touch". Coupled with IChat it's the next best thing to being there when we can't.
You do a truly AMAZING job, Joe and it is greatly appreciated! xoxoxo
