Guess Who's Smiling?!

The girls are six weeks old today and Poppy reached her very first milestone -- she smiled!  Not only did she smile at me, she smiled at her daddy and Grandma Diane.  We were all very impressed.  Now, if we could get the girls to go more than two hours without eating (thereby letting us sleep more than two hours at a time), we'd be in good shape.  One milestone at a time, I guess.

This week brought the end of the girls' seemingly endless stream of out-of-state visitors.  Poppy and Olive are so lucky to have family that are willing to travel all the way from Florida to meet them.  They met their Great Uncle Danny and their second cousins - Daniella and Brandon - who flew up from Ft. Lauderdale.  It was so much fun to see the kids with the babies -- Brandon didn't want to put the girls down.  I was afraid he was going to attempt to sneak one home in his luggage.  Luckily, Aunt Evie and Frankie were here and insisted that Brandon leave without a baby.

We also took a trip to New Jersey last week.  Whenever we visit Grandma Diane's house, the girls get a ton of visitors.  This time, about 25 people stopped by to see our little princesses.  Olive loved being passed around and held by all of her adoring fans, but Poppy wasn't having it.  Eventually, both girls fell asleep and we were able to pass them around without incident.  During our visit, Grandma Diane showed the girls her doll room.  Poppy is definitely going to be the doll lover!  Olive -- not so much!

Before we left New Jersey, we picked up Grandmom Rosalie to take her home to Delaware with us.  It was so nice to have an extra set of hands overnight.  Maria, David, Shaefer and Timber (the Garrison's dog) came to pick Grandmom Rosalie up the next day.  Next time she visits, we're not letting her leave so quickly!!
