Early Christmas Gift

The night before the storm, Grandmom Rosalie and Pop-pop Joe came over to deliver Christmas gifts for Poppy and Olive. During their visit, I caught Joe feeding Olive. He feeds the babies in the middle of the night to help out, but this time I caught him on camera!

Yesterday, we let the girls open one gift from mom and Joe: the Fisher Price Sing Along Stage. You can see the video of them opening the gift here.

Milestones

Olive has a chomper! Her first tooth came through tonight, or maybe should I say was discovered tonight. She was sucking on a teething biscuit and a piece broke off. I tried to retrieve the broken biscuit but instead found a tooth... bottom, left, front, to be exact. No way is she letting me get a picture of that! It has taken about 2 months for this first tooth to show, and what a long 2 months of waiting it has been. Now, we just have to wait for the other 25 to come in, and that's only one baby! Poppy has yet to show any teeth, but I'm sure they will be here soon.

Yesterday, another first happened. Poppy and Olive experienced their first snowstorm! We got 2 feet of snow at my house. In a moment of genius, I convinced Jill to take a walk with us in the snow. This was probably one of my worst ideas ever! We couldn't even push the stroller because there was too much snow! The upside is that Laika had a blast running around!

Visiting Memphis

On Monday, November 30, our nephew Memphis Vaughn Garrison was born at 12:44 pm! Mother, baby, father, and brother all did very well. Memphis was 7 lbs., 14.4 oz., and 21.75 in. long. Born bigger than his big brother, Shaefer, he is just as cute and cuddly! Too bad for his parents that he has his days and nights confused. That must take lots of patience. Keep it up, Maria and David! Olive, Poppy, and I met the newest member of the family on Tuesday. Seeing all of the kids interact with each other was interesting to say the least. Shaefer knows the word "baby" and said it numerous times to me. He was referring, of course, to his new brother, but he also told me that I have 2 babies! He just learned the number 2 in school (daycare) and is very proud! Shaefer also loves to kiss all the babies. If Memphis cried, Poppy and Olive would look at him as if to say, "What are you? Are you another baby?" I wonder what they really thought. There are many pictures below, so enjoy!

So tired!

Memphis has such dark hair.

Look at those beautiful eyes!

"Get me out of this thing!"

With Maria and David's help, I tried to get all the kids together for a picture. These pictures were taken in the order that they are posted. Just imagine Poppy and Olive distracting each other, Memphis crying, and Shaefer running back and forth to see my camera!

"Need a brother? I know a guy..."

Give the baby a kiss!

Trying to hug Poppy actually scared her!

Maria is surrounded by little ones... what a wonderful mother! Sorry, Poppy. You came out fuzzy in this picture!

Post Chanukah Party

After the Panzer Chanukah Party, Great-gramma Stell was our house guest. She stayed from Sunday to Wednesday and had a wonderful time enjoying her great-grandchildren. She was an enormous help to us, feeding the babies during the night so often that I almost felt guilty! Gramma got so much joy from it that she didn't even care about the lack of sleep. What a treat! Thanks so much, Gram! Here are our pictures from our walk through Longwood Gardens.

Panzer Chanukah Party

Every year, the Panzer family, which is part of Jill's grandmother's family, holds a Chanukah party so that the many branches of the family can gather and catch up. Here are the highlights from party last Sunday. Also, I apologize if I spelled anyone's name incorrectly!
